Over the past 3 years, Annapurna has allowed me to grow into the role and really develop my skill set having worked initially within internal recruitment before moving to the search side. The training has really helped me, the progression has been rewarding and the culture is fantastic. I love getting involved in our socials and sporting activities like football, yoga and running the London Marathon for one of our Annapurna Giving Charities. Annapurna's Story
2008

Annapurna is founded
In November 2008, Annapurna was founded. In the middle of a financial crash and only their phones to rely on, they set out building a network within the HR market.
Their goal was to create a responsible, ethical recruitment business which focused on delivering specialist services.
2009-2011

Annapurna Takes Off
Annapurna's 2nd office was at Great Guildford Business Square.
In this time, Annapurna grew from £600k billings in 2009 to exceeding billings of £1m by 2011. They also grew from 4 to 12 employees.
2011-2014

Becoming a multi-award winning firm
In 2011, Annapurna moved to its 3rd office in Southwark Bridge Road where we grew from 12 to 40 employees. New markets were explored and created, including the DACH and Nordic regions. In 2013, Annapurna won an array of awards including best professional services recruitment company in the UK, winner of the innovator award and grew its turnover from £3 to £5million.
2014

The Business Transformation Network
The Business Transformation Network (The BTN) was founded in 2014, as well as Annapurna Giving (our charitable arm).
2015-2020

5 years of growth
We grew our international markets, including the DACH and Nordic regions and opened an office in Munich.Headcount grew to 90+ employees across London, Munich & Berlin.
2021

Employee Networks Formed
Annapurna Ellevate was founded- a women's network designed to support women throughout their careers
2022

Best Companies Awards
In 2022, Annapurna was ranked 46th at the Best Companies Awards for 2022 in the category of Topic 100 Mid-Sized companies in the UK. Annapurna was also placed 14th in the top 100 Mid-sized companies to work for in London. We had previously placed 11th in 2017 and 39th in 2020.
